We had an amusing and colorful lecture this week at Sipod. Our colleague Vukan talked about graphic design, user experience design – UX and user interface design – UI concepts.
The many of you already know graphic design is a set of definitions, rules, and considerations. Now, all of these could be applied to the visual medium for communication. You can communicate with words, lights, graphs, and shapes in order to pass information to the viewer or customer.
Common uses of graphic design include logos and branding, as well as editorial design. Also it is use for magazines or books, advertising, web design, communication design, product packaging, etc. Therefore, design is a very useful tool for selling a product or idea or even solving a certain problem. Graphic designers create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for various applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports.
If you want to be a graphic designer you need to see and understand how the qualities of visual material work individually and all together. Besides that you create and combine symbols, images, and text to form visual representations of ideas and messages.
